One World Film Festival 2010

People, Power, Promises

All over the world, normal people face extraordinary challenges. This year's festival explores the things that can bring individuals and communities down, and celebrates the spirit that allows them to rise up again.

This year's festival will be taking place November 5-7 at Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street.

The One World Film Festival is an annual media-arts Festival based in Canada’s National Capital Region. The Festival is committed to presenting innovative forms of film and video as a medium for raising public awareness of world issues. It is both a celebration of documentary film and a powerful forum for filmmakers, activists, the public, and social justice, human rights and environmental organizations to engage in issues currently facing our global community. True to its values of including many voices, the festival is largely run by a group of long-serving, dedicated volunteers.
